DECATHLON

CAMPAIGN FOR DECATHLON

This class project involved modeling a personal object in 3D and imagining an advertising campaign around it. I chose to recreate my Decathlon Quechua water bottle to create a fictional campaign in the spirit of their usual communication style. The taglines "Endurance stays hydrated" and "Adventure is thirsty" echo Decathlon's tonal codes, balancing sports motivation and accessibility.

MY WORK

Branding

3D Animation

SOFTWARE USED

WHAT I DID

The major difficulty lay in realistically reproducing materials, particularly the brushed metal with its micro-scratches and specific roughness. I worked on procedural shaders to recreate the appearance of metal worn by sports use, adding subtle imperfections to avoid an overly smooth and artificial render. The topographic pattern engraved on the bottle's central section required meticulous mapping and displacement work to achieve coherent relief.

WHAT I DID

The matte black on the bottom and cap contrasted with the metal, creating a light coherence challenge between surfaces. The main objective was to achieve maximum photorealism by precisely modeling every detail of the bottle in Blender. Various orthographic and perspective views allow appreciation of modeling details from all angles.

WHAT I DID

To showcase the bottle, I placed it in an aquatic environment consistent with its sports usage: water ripples reflected on the ground and blue gradient lighting evoke hydration and freshness. This environment reinforces the advertising message while creating a visually attractive setting. The final campaign integrates the Decathlon logo and slogans with bold white typography, adopting the brand's graphic codes.
